We are LIFT-ed

Over the years, we have taken a few personal milestone pictures from this familiar location on the street below. But, this time it was different. Instead of two, there are now three. Welcome to the outside of 20 Douglas Street. Will you join us inside soon?

Do you remember what it feels like to try something new? In any novel pursuit, there is bound to be anxiety, excitement and a sense of possibility. Over the past three weeks, the full expression of those emotions have been on display. We have never slept so little, learned so much, and loved what we are doing more than ever. In the early hours of the morning on April 11, we welcomed baby Edward James Conlon into our family — you can call him Ted or Teddy, and just be sure to never call him late for lunch!

Historically, LIFT might have stood for Lauryn, Ian , Fitness, Training. But now, it has a concurrent meaning. F is for family and T for Ted. All together, we feel LIFT-ed.

Have you ever been to our studio? Or maybe, it has been a while? A week after Ted was born , we made our first family trip to the studio for an introduction to the workout, but more importantly, the lifestyle. I did the essential cleaning while Lauryn watered, and talked to the plants. Then, Ted got the grand tour, and did more lounging than lifting as he learned about the lay of the land in his custom B+B gear. What a kettlebabe! Watch the video below to introduce yourself to our space, as we introduce our newest B+B member to a lifestyle of wellness, strength, with passion.

So, this week, I am back full-time to studio life as Lauryn is full-time loving her new role as a mom. Things will be the same, but different, and we look forward to having you in the studio for personal sessions, small group classes and as a reading member of our bi-weekly B+B Blog.

Thank you for all of your kindness and support. We look forward to training strength and movement skills to improve your healthy active lifestyle, and to introduce you to Ted soon.

Take care,

Ian, Lauryn and Ted
