Homemade Granola

Halfway through a batch! Enjoyed on yogurt most of the time but sometimes straight out of the tin when craving a crunch.

Preheat oven to 225F (we have an electric oven with no convection feature- I find anything warmer and my granola burns on the bottom).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix ingredients in a large bowl:

3 heaping cups oats

1/3 heaping cup coconut oil melted

3/4 cup of each (or other additions) hemp hearts and sunflower seeds and cashews (chopped)

3 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cloves

1/3 cup maple syrup

Pinch of salt

Pour mixture onto lined baking sheet and push it with a spatula to flatten and spread out.

Bake for 23 minutes at 225F then turn the oven to broil for 4 minutes. Watch closely!!!

No forking* I like to leave my granola alone until it is cooled. Then I break it in pieces of my preferred size. Store in a parchment lined tin to preserve the crunch.
